Winter Weather:  Fairly mild winter temperatures in Western OR, with heavy snowfall in the mountain passes. Rain and stormy weather is normal fare. Snow falls approx. 5-7 days per year and doesn't normally stay long. Eastern OR has a typically drier climate, although colder during winter.
Winter Activities:  Skiing (mountain passes), holiday festivals, beachcombing (bring raingear), no sales tax shopping, winery tours, whale watching (coast), historic tours, staying warm by a fire.
Spring Weather: Mild temperatures & lots of rain. May get periods of sun, rain, hail, & wind all in the same day.

Summer Weather:  Hot, fairly dry Eastern region. Warm, often partially overcast, and occasional rainfalls in the Western half.

Fall Weather: Cooler fall temps and gorgeous fall colors. Rainy off and on, with rare snowfalls in Nov. in low-lying areas.  Some snow in mountain & high elevations.

Major Metropolitan Areas:  Portland and the surrounding cities on the Northern section of I-5 including Salem.
Rustic Areas: Bend, Grants Pass, Sweet Home, Ukiah, Saddle Mountain, Jacksonville, Frenchglen, John Day
Scenic Areas: Klamath Falls, Sisters, Crater Lake, Cannon Beach, Mt. Hood, Florence, Silver Falls, Joseph
