The Pacific Northwest - Our HomeSo what makes the Northwest, our home, such a great place? Maybe it's because of our eco-consciousness, or the wide diversity seen in landscape and ethnicities here. Maybe it's the mix of modern urban scapes and majestic nature coexisting. Washington - The Evergreen State. Famous for apples, coffee shops, Mt. St. Helens, and rain, Washington is a state full of variety - in landscape, ethnicity, industry, and available activities. The Seattle area is the most densely populated, and home to the Seattle Seahawks, Mariners and Super Sonics (for now) professional sports teams. From beaches to active mountain ranges, farming plains, Microsoft's corporate headquarters, and apple orchard farms of Eastern Washington - Washington has it all! Residents claim that when the sun is out, there is not a more beautiful place to live. Idaho - The Gem State. It's a state full of rivers, wilderness areas, rustic mountains, national forests, rodeos, low lying dry plains, and potato farms. Idaho's landscape is gorgeous and rustic. Idaho is the only northwest state without an ocean shore. However, ID has more rivers than any other state in the lower 48 which helps foster agricultural and many outdoor activities. Hunting, rafting, snow sports, camping, and fishing are abundant due to the many rivers and very few highly-populated metropolitan areas. Boise serves as Idaho's capital city and commerce hub. Oregon - The Beaver State. Similar to Washington's landscape, yet less populated, Oregon has something for everyone. The beautiful cold-water beaches with kite festivals give way to Mt. Hood in Central Oregon, which is the only North American mountain area offering skiing year round! Oregon has wide open spaces with pockets of metropolitan areas - the biggest of which is the Portland area. And no... Portland is not Oregon's capital city... it's Salem! If you're also looking for spectacular high-desert scenery, wine country, a fun sandy beach, or finding peace and quiet in your own piece of nature, Oregon is the place.
